The Chicken Has Arrived!

Henry Morgan Dodd arrived on 11/17/09 at 12:27 pm weighing in at 8lbs/12 oz and he was 21.5 inches long.

His hair weighed in at 3 lbs.

Banjo and Pete are a little scared of him, but Olive said she thinks he can stay.

This baby birthing business was a little exhausting, but hopefully I will get back to blogging before he is in kindergarten..........................

This parenting business is A LOT exhausting!! Welcome to the club! You'll get into a rhythm.....about the time he has a growth spurt and changes everything again :0 Love you guys!

That is so cool Diane, looks like Olive keeps his face clean, and his hair in a tidy fashion. So when you run away to join the circus, Hank will be in good paws. Love you guys, T&T&BHB

Congratulations!!! The Chicken is a doll, of course, and Olive looks quite serious about her chicken-sitting duties :)

Yep, as T Lee said, the parenting business is a LOT exhausting... but well worth it!

Don't worry about blogging; just post pictures :)

Oh he is DIVINE!! Look at that hair - you could totally style it already. And what a chubba - EXACTLY as a baby should be. Violet looked three months old at birth (she was just over nine pounds).

Congrats and do as Lucy and Ethel advise - just post pics!!!
:-)

T,T, BHB who told you about the circus, we covered his third eye (photoshopped) so no one could tell, BHB how much to keep you from talking!!!
I suggest less than $5 its all we have.

Henry is one of my favorite names, my dear 16yr old dog is named Henry. Just love all that hair. When I was born, I had a thick head of black hair and a big red face, they said I looked like an Indian baby.

Great pics! I still think you're nuts...no wait, I know you're nuts, but heck, if it works, go with it! I am getting 9 new sheep on Tuesday with lambs due in February. That's when I turn on the maternal genes that lie somewhere dormant in my brain. Glad that he is doing well and hope that you are managing also. Make sure D takes very good care of you! Milk it for all its worth!

Holy smokes! That is one super gorgey baby boy! And it's obvious you can't call him Chicken Little anymore. Chicken Gigundo is a better fit.

I love him! He's just perfect and I know you must be so thrilled to have him home. It's been wonderful going on this journey with you and Darrin and Nancy and Pete, Banjo & Olive. I really loved your wonderful humor and am a little sad the pregnancy thing is over. At least we can say we'll always have the Halloween Clown Belly nightmare.

God bless you and your family, Diane. Little Hank is just wonderful and I know you are going to enjoy being his mama. Don't let Nancy spoil him too much (as if). Love you all!

XO XO XO

Congratulations! Took him long enough to make his appearance! Love the name Henry--both my dad and my grandfather. Good people both. Miss them very much. Parenthood is a whole new ball game that never ends. Have fun.
