So here goes- Hallmark has an online greeting card contest coming up in January and I need your help once again with some witty captions for the pictures below....come up with something I use and win an 8x10 print of your choice from my blog, flickr or website.

The Griswolds

Last week the hubs and I took The Captain to Florida for a little 'vacation'.

HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA vacation? That's hilarious. Traveling several hours with a one year old is not even close to a vacation in my book. Why didn't someone tell me that before we left?

O.N.E.

SO VERY proud of myself for making 2 posts in a row that did not revolve around Henry.

Well, he turned ONE last Wednesday (11/17/10)..... so this post just *MIGHT* have to revolve around his party and his man boobs.







and YES- I KNOW he needs a haircut for the love of God- but daddy won't let me cut it yet. So until he does; Henry is simply known as Justin Bieber...... because the resemblance is uncanny LOL.



ok.....back to the party...











He had the BEST birthday and smash cake EVER made by the very talented Adrienne Bibb, owner of Addy B's..........Yo Gabba Gabba is the only TV show that has held his attention for more than 20 minutes.





I mean, she is so incredible that Our (HER) cake was featured on Yo Gabba Gabba's Facebook Page! I literally almost cried when people wanted to cut the cake and eat it. That's no joke.

I can't even believe that my little chicken has been here for a year already. It seems like only yesterday that I was announcing my knocked up condition!

My little boy is growing up so fast. SNIFF SNIFF.



So in honor of this most special day I decided to start a birthday tradition for us- each year on 11/17 Henry and I will strike a pose in a photo booth........I swear to God I will even make him do it when he is 25.

A very exciting week here as the Extreme Makeover Home Edition was in town renovating a house.

Yes we were there to see it in person. No autographs please.

It's here. The day has finally come. The day has come that I admit to being one of those women who have nothing better to blog/talk/brag about other than her child. The woman who I used to feel SO sorry for because she had no fun in her life.

No Adventure.
No Joy.
No Reward.
No Bliss

Nothing worth talking about.

That's what I used to think anyway. I was wrong.

Because now she's me.

I'm her.

And I wouldn't change it for the world.

Random Thoughts

SO I've been meaning to post this picture for awhile now- this is how Darrin labeled his little tub of oil he uses to cook chicken wings in.... cracked me up to no end.



Now what's even funnier to me is how much 'Henry's First Boatride' hairdo reminds me of the chicken drawing above.

Carolina In My Mind

Henry and I are visiting my Aunt Bonnie in Asheville for a few days.

So far Henry has met a goat named Durbin, played with 10 Aussies and a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and relaxed in The Big Ivy River.
