Do Llamas Eat Bananas?

Finally something fun to Blog about!

Today we were out driving around and saw a llama way out in a field.

We named him 'Frank the Jolly Llama' and D waved and called him like a dog.

Then he tried to bribe him closer with a banana.

It worked! Frank hauled ass running toward us!

He was up the hill in no time.

So D tried to give him the banana.

I don't think llamas like bananas.

Sorry man, we don't know nothing about feeding no llamas.

I think he forgave us though.

Or not!

"I shall ignore you stupid city folk."

Time to go google "what do llamas eat" so we'll know better next time.

This is fabulous! I love it. Our llamas ADORE bananas. Especially the skins. But, most llamas like things cut into smaller pieces so they can pick them up and feel them with their lips. We cut up bananas for them. Yes, we are well trained. Awesome llama pictures. We were at the Iowa Sheep and Wool festival all weekend, it was a blast. I will blog about it in the near future...

Research schmeasearch. All you have to do is watch Napoleon Dynamite. Then you will know all Llamas eat ham.

Tina! Come get your ham!

You're welcome.

I am quite surprised that D missed the pregger look from the llama, he's been looking at it for a couple of months now.And Alix is almost right, but it's thin slices of ham, stuffed with feta cheese, that will make that critter happy.

Oh, and forgot to mention that once Mom L gets there, she will keep you in corn, for such events, till she gets shot

Um, llamas are herbivores. No ham.

I knew Claire could inform you! Maybe you should go back to Texas and kidnap Biscuit to live with you - then you'd have your own llama. After all, Banjo and Olive have already met Biscuit.

And BHB, I'm too sweet to be chased by farmers. Who would dare shoot a middle-aged lady with a cane?!! Er shoot a lady with a cane with a gun. Um. You know what I mean!

I can tell you what llamas hate! We had a llams sexual abuse case here years ago. Yes, your imagination is probably accurate. EEEwwww! The perp has moved on to state prison and most likely other partners.

I had to look at the llama story once more before bed. I love the way he uses his ears - like a cat - to show interest and then displeasure!!! You're lucky he didn't spit on you!

Love you!

I happen to know that horses don't like bananas. They get a similar offended look on their face but without the lips.
