Jiffy Pop

I know it's hard NOT to be jealous of my celebrity-like lifestyle, but try to stay strong people.

I woke up this morning and felt the urge to take a drive and ended up in Sac City, IA- home of the World's Largest Popcorn Ball.

That's right....the time has finally come....together at last.

And if that wasn't exciting enough, next door was a cute old schoolhouse.

We all know how I love old schoolhouses.

And an old post office.

With leather post cards!

And some random dinosaur artifact?

Fun stuff!

Very cool!!! Did you see barn quilts while you were there? I see that Sac City is the barn quilt capital....

Love you!

H#ll, I left one of those on the bedroom floor last night. Didn't know they called them footprints. But it does make sense, cause if you step in one......

Oh gurl... come to Saint Augustine. We have all manner of old crap. You'll be in heaven.

(Plus it would be fun to show you and Chicken Little and Mom L around!)

I am incredibly jealous.

Don't worry, Alix, I've been in St. Augustine and loved it! Even spent time in the dungeon (well, on a 6th grade class tour!)

A popcorn treasure of this nature surely deserved such a fine red building. I was oh so impressed when I blew the picture up and saw the official Guinness certificate.

Wait a second....how do they keep that popcorn ball from disintegrating? Why aren't there mice eating it? Why isn't it moldy?

And hey, you haven't blogged about the "sac" pictures I sent you!!

That is a lot of popcorn! I love that they built a special red house for it. Looks like it was a fun trip!
