I've always wanted to watch those crazy freaks go swimming on New Year's Day, and since this year was also an attempt to break a Guinness World Record™ for the "Largest Gathering of People Wearing Swim Caps", Henry and I headed to Tybee and witnessed our first ever Polar Plunge.

We moved to Fla from "Up North" in 1950 or 51 - your Dad took us to the beach on Christmas Day. Talk about Yankees!
I didn't know Savannah had this tradition - the REAL polar plungers (Norway? somewhere cold!) would laugh!!!
