Introducing Darrin's son, Gerrit- a.k.a. 'The Phantom Graduate'.
This is the best shot I got of him after the ceremony- call me super talented.
And here is Big D & G.
Below is Gerrit and his friend Tyler, with Gerrit's big purchase-Robin the wooden yard ornament. Graduation money well spent.
Congrats Gerrit!

Livin Large
As we sat crammed like sardines in the packed auditorium with NO AIR CONDITIONING last night and listened to yet another graduate quote Miley Cyrus, any smidgen of camera etiquette I might have possessed went right out the door. I just couldn't stop myself.
Really?
Did you REALLY pick out this 'Livin Large' wife beater T-shirt and think to yourself, "Dang, I should wear this to Jethro's gradumacation over at at the skool tonight"?
REALLY?
No, really?

Adaland Mansion
Today we toured the Adaland Mansion
in Philipi.
This was our tour guide posing next to her truck- she bought it new in '88- how great!
That's all for today, gotta go get ready for graduation now.

Misty Taste Of Moonshine...
...teardrop in my eye.
We are in West Virginia this week because Darrin's son is graduating from high school tomorrow!
Where oh where does the time go??
Today we checked out the oldest covered bridge in the state, it was very cool.
I love these last 2 shots!
Stay tuned for more fun and exciting things from West By God Virginia, where it's legal to marry your first cousin!
I'm not kidding.

CL's First Video
Today we got to see & hear Chicken Little's heartbeat- now I'm really starting to believe that I'm actually growing a tiny person!
He/she was moving all around, kicking it's legs out and then crossing them.
They measured the baby and changed the due date from December 6th to November 27th.
Here is a little video clip:
And Chicken's first portrait:
AMAZING.

Tulip Festival
Today we drove up to Orange City to check out the Tulip Festival.
It was our first time to this town and it was really cute!
Enjoy the pics, I'll be over in the corner going into a funnel cake/caramel apple/corn dog coma.

Go Go Boots & Calendar News
First, I wanted to clear up any confusion about yesterday's post- there was some concern that I might be harboring human body parts in the backyard.
Nope, it's just a huge dog toy from IKEA. I love it.
Now on to the exciting news!
One of my photographs has been published in the Images of Western Iowa: The Loess Hills 2010 calendar!
No, I didn't make the cover.
Hell, I barely made the inside!
If you look really hard you'll find my teeny tiny sunflower picture way down in the corner of September.
I didn't name it 'Reaching for the Sky' either.
Oh well, at least one made it, right?
