Spunky Skunky

I promise I had no intention of posting dog pics for three days in a row. Seriously. But yesterday we let the kids go on a little run....and all 3 came home COVERED in skunk. OMG. I have no words for the smell. It happened to Banjo a few months ago- but never to all 3 at one time. Holy Mother of God I've never smelled anything like that in my life. For some reason I imagine the whole thing went down just like this Casper Episode.

Darrin and I spent about an hour washing the idiots.
And they're still a little skunky.
It's not funny.

Thanks Casper. Good one.

Ahhhhahahahahahahahahahaaaa....

It is SO funny!

Because you said you weren't going to let them go out like that again after the 10-hour episode. That didn't last very long!

I guess Aquaman wasn't wearing his special suit in the tub. Wouldn't want to get that all skunky...

I'm very intrigued, as to how you got those bits of photos to be color (like the bath puff) and the rest is black and white. Of course, I am sure you will not tell me now, since I laughed at your skunky misfortune. :-)

They all look very guilty and remorseful for their skunky adventure. :) It could always be worse, my moms two dogs decided to take a dip in the town's septic pond one time when they got out of the fence. (very small town)

it's hilarious that's for sure.
and claire- since i lost my beloved photoshop program with my dead computer and won't be able to get it again for a few weeks, i have been playing around with Picassa editing- you can download Picassa from google for FREE-and there are lots of fun editing tools, like the b/w with a touch of color.

Hey, wait a minute---is that "MY BATHTUB"? I fear the smell will still be there when I return. This reminds me of my brother taking his beagle to the outhouse. He forgot about him and locked him in when he left. The dog tried to get out via one of those holes. My dear Mother bathed that dog under the well pump. Oh my! I actually remember using that outhouse in the dead of winter in central Illinois.

Oh, Lord!!!! You DID say they would never again in their lives be allowed to run! T Lee said, "Poor Diane", but it looks to me like Big D did the bathing and you just took photos!!!

Pete looks awfully small in his picture. They all look a little embarrassed.

But hey, Di, maybe they were just celebrating your 4 weeks without smokes!!! Congratulations! Love you.

the one and only time I literally almost threw up in my mouth was smelling a skunk right after it had been run over by a car and released its scent.

So, does the tomato juice actually work? Mine dogs come home after rolling in cow poop, and I squirt baby powder on 'em.

That's why we love the Dodds, life hands them skunk, and they make Bloodymarys in the bathtub, I would say more, but,I need to get out of these wet pants.
