Postcards From The Edge

A few weeks ago the dogs received a gift in the mail from New York, it was from their friend Penny the Chihuahua.

Banjo and Olive turned their noses up at it, but Pete thought it was great.

So I took a picture of Pete and the toy......

...then Pete wrote a thank you note on the back and we sent it to Penny. (We may not live in the South anymore, but my dogs will always have Southern manners.)

Several days later, Penny emailed us this picture of her reading the postcard from Pete.

OMG is that not the funniest thing ever??!! Or is it just me?

It almost makes me pee from laughing so hard.

Loopy.

Good for Pete! I'm glad you've taught him what I taught you. And, Penny, you're a good friend to Pete.

Does Mr. Mailman understand that the dogs sent stuff to each other, and that all you had to do was affix the stamp?

That's great, when a close friend of ours lost her sister in January, Candy, pops dog sent her dogs a bag of treats, with a card, with a cur on the front, and inside it said," SORRY YOUR FEELING POOPY",she said that was the fist time she smiled in four days. I'm still amazed at how sometimes we can communicate things through our critters, that we can't do on our own, guess we aren't as cute as they are. And yes, the southern bells they are, they sent Candy a thank you card.

Oh great. You just HAD to blog about this didn't you. Now Stickley is whining and asking why he never gets postcards or anything. I told him he never wrote and sent a post card. He said he didn't know he was allowed, and went off in a huff and laid down on his dog bed with a big sigh. Now he's gonna need extra treats and hugs. I blame you entirely.

Pete, you'd better write to Stickley, too, if you ever want to be invited to his farm.

Totally hilarious. A little kooky, but that's something I can relate to because I'd probably do it too.

You are a freaking hoot, girl. Your mama raised you right (waving to Nancy).

Give me Stickley's address. I'll send him a treat!

I KNEW my granddog could type when I saw his picture with your laptop! Pete, why don't you write to me? Or to Emma? You guys have got to become friends, after all.

Love,
Grandma L
