Hiding My Candy

~This post is dedicated to Lola Nova, even though I found the stash on HIS side of the bed.~

As I made the bed today I also cleaned off D's little night stand, and of course my horrible habit of snooping forced me to open his drawer to take a peek.
And yes, I did discover that he was hiding something from me...

Chocolate!
The sight of the half eaten chocolate bar lying next to our gun totally cracked me up!
I love my husband.
Ya think I should get him THIS for Easter?

**Bonus points if you get the "Hiding My Candy" reference.
HINT- it's from my favorite Savannah Drag Queen.

That is a most excellent post and photo. Home is where the gun and chocolate are. Sweet!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I needed your hint before I thought of Lady Chablis! I was just talking about her, uh, him, yesterday. So - what do I get for my bonus points? A framed print of my choice from PhotosbyDiane? A DVD of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"?

I commented on Lola Nova's site then came back here and started laughing again. OF COURSE we would all see the gun first, so your explanation of the chocolate being the thing is "very funny"!!!

It looks like it's foreign chocolate too. The best kind, of course. None of that Hershey nonsense for him.

I took the whole gun thing as a threat... ya know... touch this chocolate, Diane, and you will be shot.

Hilarious.

And yes, by all means, DO buy the chocolate gun, chocolate ammo and the chocolate ammo can. It's what all the "it" gun owners are spending their discretionary cash on.

Love and kisses to you and Mom L, my favorite Gator!

Locked and Loaded

Yes, get the chocolate gun and stuff...even if it is bad chocolate..(Oh wait, is there such a thing??) you have the value of the pictures you can take.

MomL: I was thinking I should Needlepoint "Home is where the gun and chocolate are" into a sampler. But, I don't Needlepoint.
Ooh, I know, I will Stencil it onto a T-Shirt with the photo (with permission of the artist of course) and on the other side I will stencil "Loess Is More - Loess Hills, Iowa"
What do you think?

Lola Nova - great idea!!! I actually did 1 needlepoint picture decades ago! The stencil will work just as well. What an awesome juxtaposition photo!!!
