Today it was a fabulous 80 degrees! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I have not seen 80 in what, 6 months or so? (December in Savannah doesn't count, MIL)
So I decided to embrace the warmth and relax on the deck for a few minutes. It was also the perfect time to catch up on some of my 'advanced maternal age pregnancy books' that scare the living shit out of me and I wish I never would have found them.
So I sat on the deck and felt the sun on my skin and shut those scary books and closed my eyes for just a minute, and in my mind I was magically transplanted here.....
surrounded only by the sound of this........
and the smell of these.....
a girl can dream can't she?
I miss you Hawaii......

I don't have that adventurous-travel gene, I know most people do though. The Hawaii pictures make it look nice.
Ahh, yes, Diane's A-T gene came naturally from her maternal grandparents! Of course, they were lucky to have my sister working for an airline. Don't forget your sunscreen and an umbrella! And a towel to wipe off the water the dolphins splash on you. Do you have a tiny umbrella to put in your healthy glass of cranberry juice?
Love you - see you soon!!!
Me, too!!! I want to go back...NOW!!! Or St. Lucia!
I know what you mean. I will be going nback to the island of Vieques P.R. in Feb. Kathy
Funny. I don't miss Hawaii at all. Of course, I've never BEEN to Hawaii, so you can't miss what you've never had, right?
So, as the last official human being alive who has not been to Hawaii, I say...
Larry! Take me to Hawaii!
PS: Bermuda and Cabo were kinda cool though.
Alix - that makes 2 of us!!! Both of my parents, my kid sister, and my kid have all been. Not me.
Di - maybe you can build a little pond (fun for the dogs) behind the deck with a waterfall dropping from a hose on the deck! Close your eyes and it will sound right!
