It's April, Fools

I just read somewhere that April is National Humor Month- I've never heard that before but I can sho dig it.

I love humor.

This RECENT POST by Lee of MWOB inspired me to dust off the old photo albums and find a picture I took in Grand Cayman almost 15 years ago.

In honor of National Humor Month I give you.......Harry Bush.
That's right! You can call good 'ole Harry Bush for all your trucking needs.

Awesome.

Almost as good as the OBGYN I had back in Atlanta named Harry Heiman. Click HERE if you don't believe me.

What funny names have you come across in your lifetime...come on, it's Humor Month, humor me!

And always remember....
"Laughter is the sunshine of the soul."

What people name their children. I saw a baby named Crystle Ice. A man where we once lived had all his daughters named after candy bars. Kathy

My first husband had a friend who named his daughter: Dawn Zurley. Their last name was Light. Get it? Dawn's Early Light?

Anyyyyyyway...

We were driving home from Welaka on Sunday and a pickup truck (of course) went by and in the window with shoe polish we read:

"Go Stealers"

Does that count as a funny? Only in freaking Welaka do you need spellcheck for your team spirit.

This is too simple, but my vet when I lived in MD was Dr. Katz. I know there have been many names I've snickered at over the years, but right now I'm suffering from CRS so I'll have to think of them later.

When I worked at a hospital in Illinois, we had a patient named Brown Crappo (the family said their name had a long A but....). My brother had a friend whose last name was Marks and they all had appropriate nicknames, his was Skid Marks.

As for the mouse, YUCK! We had a vole (black mouse like creature) that jumped out of the toaster one night. Orkin was called (finally - long story) and the toaster was thrown out!!

My friend married a man whose last name is Butts. When his ancestor came from "the old country" he paid $50 to have his name changed from Butt to Butts.

I think I would have used the money to change my name to something completely different!

Hey, Anon - I wonder if the Savannah gyno was my classmate from high school (Florida), last name Finger, who became an OB-GYN!???
