I'm thinking lichen on a rock or on a tree. Hard to tell what the base is but I think it's a tree. If that is indeed correct, Joyce is partially right, because of the mushroom comment, but lichen is in fact a composite organism, which is a symbiotic association of a fungus with a second photosynthetic organism (usually a bacterium or algae). So, the "mushroom" part is only half of it.
I do believe you looked into my very drugged head and that is my brain scrambled. Someone must have put a firecracker in it and blew it all over the driveway.
Right now I want to know how the sound from my email has transported itself onto your blog. The Easter one that has the egg splattering on the screen started yesterday about the time I was reading Claire's post. I thought she must have added it. I am enjoying it, however it got on here. Sorry everyone, D's son doesn't call me a Tech-No-Tard for nothing!
welllllllllllllllllllllllll- fungus and lichen confuses me now! i think claire and joyce need to break their tie-breaker by telling me WHAT object the said lichen/fungus is sitting on!!!

Me! Me! I know! I know! But I can't win anyway, so I won't tell. Besides, I'm probably wrong. I usually am!
Love you,
Curdled Velveeta?
Waterlogged cheetos spilled all over the road?
Orange Playdough barf?
A golden mold or mushroom formation. Thanks for giving me the heads up about the contest.
The motherload of Orange Crayola Crayon sharpenings?
the remnants of last nights supper in your frying pan. You're one fine cook!
