The Corndog Checkoff

I decided to have a professional do our taxes for the first time ever this year, mostly because there were a few new things that happened in '08 that made me unsure I could file ours without screwing something up. Mainly the move from Georgia to Iowa and also our insane brain fart incident marriage.

Today I got the good word that we are actually getting a few peanuts back instead of owing.

Take that Uncle Sam! You Suck!

And if that wasn't enough to make me smile, check out this sign hanging in the tax lady's office....

I LOVE IT!

The Corndog Checkoff!!!! Look at the animals ready to paint.

Not sure if I am just delirious from 2 weeks of tax worry or what, but the Corndog Checkoff is the funniest thing I have seen in awhile.

Thanks I needed that. that is as funny as the product survey form that I got in the mail recently. Under the bathroom tissue category, the first box to check was"WE DO NOT USE[skip to next category]",the next category was, "ADULT PAIN RELIEVERS".

BHB...Baahaahahahahhaha! You checked DO NOT USE, right? Please say you did!

Great D....now I want a freakin' corndog!!! I fell in love with a corndog when I was 5 at Savannah Beach! You know I was born in Savannah, right?

Makes me wanna go to a state fair and have a corndog. My girl calls 'em horndogs hahaha!

Awww, I wanna go to the State Fair, but you can keep the corndogs. My fantasy is the frozen chocolate covered banana from the amusement park in Santa Clara, CA!!!

And BHB, I can see you not using bathroom tissue, but what about T&T? Please tell me they do...er, wait, TMI - don't bother to answer!!!

We've had a CPA do our taxes now for several years, she pays for herself plus. I just try to keep paperwork straight throughout the year, a special drawer!!, and then turn the stuff over to her. Somehow, we always get $$ back rather than owing when we were doing it ourselves.
