Nice Doll, Man.

I am still cracking up over something I got from my MIL (mother-in-law) a few days ago.

She sent a picture of a DOLL that Darrin played with when he was a little boy.

She told me that he would brush it's hair for hours. Isn't that so cute?

BAAAAWWWAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

OMG- I just shot milk out of my nose thinking about Darrin brushing his doll's hair over and over again.

Awesome.

That is so friggin' sweet. I can't stand it. I don't know Darrin but instead of shooting milk out of my nose thinking of him brushing this doll's hair, I get all teary-eyed. Kinda. Okay I might be exaggerating there. But my heart does go awwwww.......

:-)

It is touching and funny, but the doll scares me a little. It's got those arms reaching out saying "I love you" but the eyes are looking away saying "Someone better is over there"

Ooh, was that just a dark peek into my psyche?

Actually, I think it's sweet D.

women have always treated me like that why should my dolls be any different, talk about a peek into someones psyche.. hmmmm

Looks like I'm moving out there none too soon to rescue my SIL. Sorry, Sweetie, I know I gave birth to her, but I don't claim credit for anything else!!!

Love you and your doll!

Di did not include the fact that D was just over a year old, very ill and confined to a hospital bed. I purchased the doll in the hospital gift shop. It didn't have a stitch of clothes on! The hair of the doll never got any better and it soon turned up missing fingers on one hand and both toes were badly chewed!! Someone finally took pity and put some clothes on her. For a price, I can disclose more dark secrets of D's early life! Hey D, what's it worth to you????

I feel like a trap has been set here, but if the steel door comes down and hits me in the ass, or the jaws snap on my foot, till some nice person comes and hits me in the head with a club, I'm taking the bait, what lies under the diaper pin,D?

So Diane... is that a Kewpie Doll?

Well, at least you gotta hand it to Darrin for embracing his feminine side. Right? No?

High Five to Lola Nova for the eyes comment.

Straight up hilarious.

Really have enjoyed your blog! The doll looks a bit like Chucky, though. Maybe a distant cousin :)

We're sharing an award because we just learned what to do, I think -

The doll is a little, tiny bit creepy itself, maybe it is the eyes... BUT I think Darrin playing with it as a kid is so sweet! I just love it when moms give their little boys dolls too.

Poor Big D. He used to only have his Mother to embarrass him, now he has his wife to help. Isn't this fun?? Pay backs! Sure has gotten a lot of comments.

We need another contest, Di.

poor big d! i wonder of i should post the pic of his blankie that MIL sent- the one with the satin edge that he like to rub when he sucked his thumb?? :)

Savannah Belle said...

Don't forget to show the cute duckie on the blankie. Later I will take a picture of his little army jacket, about a size two. I will do that as soon as I find a picture with him in that jacket. He was sooooo cute! I can't remember ever seeing him suck his thumb in that little jacket.

Sorry D, but I have enjoyed this entry in Di's blog. Pay backs!! You are still sooooo cute! I could just pinch your cheeks!

I think it's time I dragged out some pics of little Diane: standing naked next to our German Shepherd, looking at his ball floating in the tub. Or with her hair sticking straight up when she was a baby. Or..... I could go on! This blog must be balanced! Just wait until I start my own!!!

Ok, Mom L. D's cousin thinks we have picked on him enough and it is now Di's turn! We need photos and whatever you can supply. Wait, she won't post anything like that so it's up to you! I believe this one got the most comments so far. We do have mean streaks, don't we?
